Jamie is Founder, Chairman & CEO of JBMRA. His experience draws upon three generations of the May family apartment brokerage and development business dating back to 1939, in addition to his own 22 years of experience in brokerage, investment advisory, construction, development, disposition, acquisition, lending and management of institutional grade apartment communities.
Jamie has represented numerous well known domestic and foreign institutional funds, sovereign funds, pension funds and their advisors, REITS, insurance companies, private national, regional owners, and merchant builders throughout the southern United States. Some of his repetitive clientele include; TGM and Associates, Equity Residential Properties Trust, ING Clarion, Fairfield Residential, Forest City Residential, TA Associates, Heitman Financial, CAPREIT, Waterton Associates, Jupiter Realty, BH Equities, Tarragon Realty Investors, Sawyer, UDR and CMS.
Jamie is an active broker, investment advisor, and strategist in the marketing and disposition of institutional grade apartment communities on an exclusive seller representation “only” basis. He has participated in numerous multifamily investment property sales with an aggregate value of nearly $5 billion. Jamie currently serves on the Advisory Board and Board of Directors of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), and is an active member of Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), Mortgage Bankers Association, National Apartment Association, and Florida Apartment Association.
Jamie is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate. Additionally, he is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Tennessee and Alabama. In 2008, Jamie and his family moved from Naples to Tampa, FL. His interests include snow skiing, boating, shooting, scuba diving, racing, and an extraordinary fascination with airplanes.

Eric Ammon

Eric is JBMRA's SVP of Transactions and Advisory for the evaluation, marketing and disposition of apartment communities for private and institutional investor owners and lenders. His leadership role encompasses the management of the brokerage team, investor relations, marketing, property tours and executive transaction supervision for all company exclusive assignments. Since starting JBMRA's Tampa office in 2004, Eric has participated in nearly $1 billion of the firms total sales volume.
Prior to joining JBMRA, Eric was the SVP of Epoch Management in Winter Park, FL. During his tenure, he was responsible for 45% growth of third party management contracts, which increased the company's portfolio management to in excess of 9,000 units. Prior to Epoch, Eric worked with Eagle Realty Group, a subsidiary of Western Southern Life Insurance where he served as Director of Acquisitions & Dispositions, Asset Management and Development. His duties included overseeing a portfolio of properties with an aggregate book value of $500 million. Eric also oversaw the development of several institutional-grade multifamily projects valued at more than $205 million.
Eric is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science, along with being a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Kentucky, and Ohio. In addition, he holds a mortgage broker's license in the State of Florida, as well as the prestigious CCIM and CPM designations. He is member of and serves as an advisory board member of the National Multihousing Council (NMHC) and Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). He lives in Lakeland, FL with his wife Patty, and their two children Katie and Ted. His interests include traveling, golf and politics.

Melissa Cannata

Melissa is JBMRA’s VP of Transaction Management and leads the broker, financial, marketing and graphic teams for the evaluation, marketing and disposition of single assets to portfolio holdings for private and institutional clientele. She is responsible in conjunction with the brokerage team for the direct contact of sellers, prospective purchasers, coordination of due diligence and property tours.
Her experience derives from the brokerage, disposition, acquisition, asset and property management of institutional grade apartment communities with an aggregate value of over $500 million dollars. Prior to joining JBMRA, Melissa held numerous C-suite positions with high accolades in the multifamily arena and was responsible for the regional operational oversight and performance of more than 5,000 units.
In addition, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Multihousing Council (NMHC), is a past President of the Southwest Florida Apartment Association, a Delegate of the Florida Apartment Association, and Political Action Committee Ambassador of the National Apartment Association NAA-PAC).
Melissa is a Florida licensed sales associate and resides in Ft. Myers, Fl with her husband Bobby and her thirteen year old son Robbie. Her interests include traveling, kickboxing, supporting the local arts/entertainment community, and watching her son play lacrosse and soccer.

Lisa Rossetti

Lisa is JBMRA’s Transaction Manager and facilitates the financial, marketing and physical analysis of actively listed properties, the copywriting and distribution of company and property offering memoranda, white papers, and market reports. In addition, she serves as a liaison to the brokerage team with direct contact of sellers, prospective purchasers, coordination of due diligence and site inspections.
Lisa is a 15-year veteran of commercial real estate marketing and research in the Florida and North Carolina markets. Her experience has ranged from developing databases and defining methodology to conducting full feasibility and market positioning studies for new residential developments in the Florida market. Prior to joining JBMRA, Lisa's multifamily experience was derived from her work at Apartment Realty Advisors, Cushman & Wakefield, Inc. and Trammell Crow Company. She is a fervent supporter of her alma mater, the University of South Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies. Lisa has also served as the chairperson of the PR/Marketing Committee for the Orlando chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW).
Lisa resides in the Tampa Bay area with her son Robert and her interests include traveling, writing, playing tennis, watching her son play competitive soccer, and pursuing a deep love of photography. |
